TENTH VINTAGE RELEASE
2006 Cabernet Sauvignon“Stone Place”
Estate Old Vines Sustainably and Organically Farmed
Vintage Notes: The 2006 growing season began with extreme rainfall upon the arrival of the New Year. A very cool spring delayed bud break well into May however June allowed the vines to develop and offer a beautiful cluster set. A longer than normal heat spike in July was followed by a cooler August which provided the grapes extended hang time and hence allowing slow but steady flavor development and ripening.
Winemaking: Cold soak must and post fermentation maceration techniques were applied to various lots of estate Cabernet Sauvignon. Barrel aged for twenty months in seventy five percent new French oak. Minimal rackings, no fining nor filtration. Bottled aged for one year pre-release.
Winemaker’s notes:Dark and dense in the rim of the glass. Aromas of black cherries, black berries, chocolate, brown spices, graphite and truffle. The palate continues to evolve to incorporate cola, tobacco, leather and baking chocolate covered espresso beans. Flavors of just ripe blackberry with a heavy dose of boysenberry, cinnamon, clove and French vanilla start to intermingle. Silky and dense tannins and oak structure extend the rich Cabernet mouthfeel. Approachable and ageworthy. download notes
2007 Cabernet Franc

Vintage Notes: The planets aligned as this is one of the most anticipated vintages in the decade. The weather was generally cooler than normal years with a few heat spikes. The growing season was dry. The 2007 vintage has offered us with one of the most powerful, refined and successful vintages seen in this decade.
Winemaking: 100% Crocker Estate fruit - sustainably farmed, small lot fermentations using a combination of punch down and pumpover, barrel aged in 60% new French oak for 16 months. Final blend 98% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec.
Winemaker’s Notes: Rich and concentrated, the 2007 Crocker & Starr Cabernet Franc has exotic aromas of cinnamon stick, clove, and Asian spices. On the palate, layers of cola, raspberry, blueberry and black plum are seamlessly woven together. The finish is long, seemless and lingering. The persistence in the finish of our Franc makes for an excellent wine for a wide variety of food pairings. download notes
2009 Sauvignon Blanc
St. Helena and Napa Valley Appellations
Vintage notes: The 2009 growing season began another year of drought. Heavy spring rains just before flowering charged the soils just enough for one growing season. We worked hard to balance the extra growth brought on by the rains to give focus on the fruit. The finish to the season was hot cold hot cold. August 25th was our first SB pick and we finished the Las Trancas block on October 6th.
Wine Panel Notes: The forward aromas of lime, kiwi, peach, pear, guava, crushed sea shells and meringue follow straight through to the flavors. The first taste is fresh and citrusy followed by layers of peaches and cream. There’Äôs a beautiful minerality in the finish which lingers for quite some time.
Winemaking: 100% whole cluster pressed. Barrel fermented in 95% stainless steel barrels, 5% new French oak barrels. Aged on the lees for increased richness and intensity until March 29th. Bottled April 16th.
Winemaker's Notes: Our Crocker & Starr 2009 Sauvignon Blanc is the product of Pam's unparalleled approach to capturing this wild grape variety!
