Crocker & Starr handcrafts a small production of exquisite, world-class wines from our historic vineyard estate in St. Helena.
Charlie Crocker and Pam Starr’s commitment to sustainable farming techniques combined with cutting edge winemaking tools come together to combine the best of both old-world philosophy and new world fruit. Winemaker Evyn Cameron translates the estate’s Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec blend and Sauvignon Blanc to capture the essence of the extraordinary terroir of the vineyard.
Perfect for the wine aficionado hoping to add a timeless classic to their cellar, the 1 Post Collector’s Piece includes 1 bottle of 2016 1 Post, debuted at this year’s Carnivus Maximus, nestled in the never-before-seen walnut Crocker & Starr wine box.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Stone Place’ blends power, balance and elegance, what we recognize as the legacy of the Crocker Estate. The nose has a beautiful blend of black cherry, roasted vanilla bean, graphite, and sweet licorice. Decadent layers of purple plum, baking spices, and cacao nib greet your palate right before transitioning into a long finish with elegant, silky tannins.
For Charlie and Pam, 1 Post symbolizes more than a landmark San Francisco address. In that iconic building, over two decades ago, the Crocker & Starr partnership was sealed with a handshake. A meeting of the minds that created an historic 'bridge' between San Francisco and Napa . . . 1 Post - a small lot 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate's heritage vineyard blocks . . . celebrates the genesis of Crocker & Starr.
The 2016 RLC immediately jumps out of the glass with aromatics of wild black cherries, Tahitian vanilla bean, anise and sandalwood. Flavors of Bing cherry, savory dark chocolate finishing with supple tannins make this a great wine to drink right now, though it can easily age in the cellar for a decade or more.
Founder Pam Starr and winemaker Evyn Cameron designed this blend to express the best of the Crocker Estate's diverse terroir, and the resulting wine is reminiscent of a Right Bank Bordeaux blend. This AVA Napa Valley begins with Cabernet Franc from estate block 5 and 8 and is layered with Merlot and Malbec.
