A.V.A. stands for American Viticulture Area and for us, it represents the culmination of sustainable viticulture, resurrection of the 1870’s winery and classic winemaking. The bouquet on the front of the label ties into our rich history as it and Charlie’s 1870’s Victorian home originate from a Sears & Roebuck catalog. Out A.V.A. Napa Valley blend of Sauvignon Blanc serves as the perfect introduction to the Crocker & Starr portfolio.
Founder Pam Starr and Winemaker Evyn Cameron capture the diverse terrain of the Napa Valley within this elegantly handcrafted wine.
"This is a brilliant project putting together blends that are declassified from other wineries...These are impressively put together wines..." --The Wine Advocate
Crocker & Starr Sauvignon Blanc exemplifies Founder Pam Starr and Winemaker Evyn Cameron’s ability to capture Napa Valley’s purest character. This estate wine was conceived and planted over twenty years ago, with soils and climates specifically chosen to grow the attributes so beloved in Sauvignon Blanc from this region. The result is a savory, mineral driven wine with juicy guava, and citrus tones that will satisfy both the sophisticate and the hedonist. Mark your calendars for the next release, April 2021!
Founder Pam Starr and winemaker Evyn Cameron capture the diverse terrain of the Crocker vineyard blocks which are not dedicated to our exquisite estate wines. The blend is reminiscent of a typical Right Bank Bordeaux blend. This Appellation blend begins with Cabernet Franc from estate block 5 and 8 and is layered with Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. This 2017 blend is enjoyable in its youth and will age gracefully over the next 15 years.
The 2016 RLC immediately jumps out of the glass with aromatics of wild black cherries, Tahitian vanilla bean, anise and sandalwood. Flavors of Bing cherry, savory dark chocolate finishing with supple tannins make this a great wine to drink right now, though it can easily age in the cellar for a decade or more.
56% Cabernet Franc, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot
Intense inky plum color with a fuchsia rim, berry compote and graphite aromas precede the silky entry of violets, blackberry and Marion berry all perfectly balanced with a savory and spicy finish. The broad tannins and fresh spicy fruit flavors are great right now and will cellar well over the next 15 years.

The Italian word ‘casali’ in English is farmhouse which we have translated to ‘house of celebration’. The Malbec we planted is a selection from the old world. These unique blends capture the wild, untamed Malbec grape in its best form enhanced by classic Bordeaux varieties. Mark your calendars for our next release, April 2021!
First introduced to the world in 1997, the Crocker & Starr Cabernet Franc changed the landscape of California Cabernet Francs, and is now one of the most highly anticipated releases for our members. Mark your calendars for our next release, February 2021!

Exclusively sourced from our oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines which are now over 40 years old, the 2017 vintage is one of the most spectacular bottlings thus far, and is one of the highest rated 2017 Cabernets by Jeb Dunnuck. The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Stone Place’ blends power, balance and elegance, what we recognize as the legacy of the Crocker Estate. There is an enticing purity on the nose; dark chocolate-covered cherry, sweet tobacco, and graphite gracefully waft out of the glass. Luscious layers of cocoa, vanilla bean, and plum compote liven the palate, and silky tannins give way to a long, luxurious sandalwood finish. Cellar for 15+ years or decant upon opening.

The 2004 Bridesmaid Red is a gorgeous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. For Charlie and Pam, 1 Post symbolizes more than a landmark San Francisco address. In that iconic building, over two decades ago, the Crocker & Starr partnership was sealed with a handshake. A meeting of the minds that created an historic 'bridge' between San Francisco and Napa . . . 1 Post - a small lot 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the estate's heritage vineyard blocks . . . celebrates the genesis of Crocker & Starr.
