Tasting Notes: The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon ‘1 Post’ is composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon heritage clones from Block 1 and Block 2. These unique selections yield a wine with symmetry, concentration, and elegance. The 2013 immediately pops with notes of dark Bing cherries, graphite, incense, anise flowers, and sandalwood. As oxygen starts to infiltrate the glass, aromatics of violets, rose petals, and tobacco entices the senses. The palate offers a plush and seamless transition from the first sip to the lingering finish. Ample cocoa tannins play harmoniously with layers of black cherry, vanilla, cedar, and hints of star anise spice. The balance of acid, tannin, and beautiful fruit make 1 Post cellar-worthy.
